  Starting with the Scars of Mirrodin set, I saw myself become really involved with the story behind the cards.  I saw something fantastic beyond what each card said; I saw the story, I felt the emotions behind the cards.

  As I saw Mirrodin Besieged I felt a strange attachment to the failing Mirrans and noticed myself feeling down when I saw a Phyrexian card that was a kick in their face.  I started to imagine the stories playing out in my head and I couldn’t help but love every moment of it.

  The first card I saw from the New Phyrexia set just did it for me, Karn.  I saw through his metal exterior and saw the corruption the Phyrexians had wrought.  My heart wrenched for the betrayal of the Mirrans and their diminishing forces.  I could not believe the 10%-90% division of my favorite protagonists in the multiverse.
